Quiche Lorraine

Hi Guys,

How was your weekend? Mine was quite busy, we had a Sunday school teacher’s gathering on Sunday where all the teachers get together to get to know each other better. I’ve decided to cook Italian food – so here’s the menu – Spaguetti Marinara, Fettucine carbonara, garlic bread, lasagne, quiche lorraine, potato salad and mix green salad. I didn’t get to take photos of the rest of the dishes apart from quiche lorraine. It was the first time that I made quiche lorraine with thermie and was hoping  that it will turn out. I decided to make it the night before hand just incase it didn’t turn out I would be able to make something else…the recipe seemed simple enough and it was the only picture that I took…so here it is..

The recipe consisted of Gruyere cheese, bacon piece, short crust pastry, cream and eggs and just whip them up together in thermie….and bake it..

The eggy mixture was slightly overflowing cos my pastry wasn’t tall enough..but it looked great…so when I took it out the oven the instruction said to let it cool off until it’s nice and firm and then I refridgerated so that I can reheat the next day.

Overall, I was quite happy with how the quiche lorraine turned out – it was very tasty and it was all gone 🙂 So I’ll be happy to make it again another time..
