Morning Bloggy Friends, I’m so excited cos today is a public holiday yay no work!! I managed to stay up last night roaming around eating snacks and eventually fell asleep and woke up the next day bright and early around 8.30am so I was feeling ambitious and ended up cleaning the house. Scrubbing of the dirt grime in our bath tub, made the irobot vacuumed the house and even had some time to pick my hot red chillis and made them into chilli sauces. That’s a productive morning. 🙂
Anyways, this particular recipe is very healthy. It basically involves chucking all the ingredients in one big bowl mix it and pan fry it and there you have it…
Here it is
Burramundi Fish Patties
1 x large pieces of burramundi fillet
1 cup of frozen vegies
6 x potatoes
1 x onion
1 x table spoon of olive oil
1 x table spoon of hoi sin sauce
1 x table spoon of oyster sauce
1 cup of bread crumbs
1 x egg
2 x cloves of garlic
1. Chop up the potatoes into small pieces and boil them. Once they are cooked mashed them. Now you can substitute the potatoes with sweet potatoes less calories and it gives it a sweeter taste Defrost the frozen vegies, I usually chuck them into the microwave for a minute, chopped the onions into small pieces, pan fried the burramundi in a hot pan with some olive oil.
2. Add into the bowl, vegies, onions, minced garlic, mashed potatoes, minced the fish fillets into small pieces, hoi sin sauce, oyster sauce and salt and pepper for seasoning, add the bread crumbs for binding and an egg.
3. Mix the mixture thoroughly until it becomes a sticky mixture and roll them into a round ball and pan fried them in a hot pan with some olive oil. Make sure you flatten the round balls so it looks like a patty. Pan fry the patties both sides until golden brown for around 10 minutes.
4. Serve the fish patties with thai style warm noodle salad or some plain salad and there you have it delicious fish patties. You can also substitute burramundi fish with salmon it works well. As for frozen vegies you can add in your favourite chopped vegies too.
