Comfort Food Recipe – Teriyaki Fish & String Beans

Published January 27, 2010 by Mary Jane

Hello again, I’ve just finished eating my fried rice from last night’s left over. So full now…anyways this dish is pretty simple nice and healthy. It’s done Japanese style with teriyaki sauce. Goes really well with steamed rice, however if you are not keen on having rice simply serve with any vegies. String beans goes really well with teriyaki fish. 🙂

Here it is…

Teriyaki Fish & String Beans

1 x piece of fish fillet
1 table spoon of soya sauce
1 table spoon of mirin
1 small piece of ginger
1 teaspoon of sugar
2 cloves of garlic
some string beans

Instructions

1. First marinade the fish fillet in the teriyaki sauce – you can buy one that’s already pre-mixed or alternatively you can make your own sauce – by combining soya sauce, mirin – which you can buy a bottle from any Asian Grocery store, mince the ginger, sugar and mix well.

2. heat up pan with oil and add the marinated fish in leaving some sauce behind in the bowl. Fry until golden brown and add the remaining sauce in. The sauce should thicken up a bit.

3. Mince garlic, heat up pan with some oil – add in the string beans and stir fry – to cook it faster add a few table spoon of water and put a lid on to steam the beans – season with some pepper and salt.

There you have it nice teriyaki fish with some string beans 🙂

Enjoy…
