Comfort Food Recipe – Sesame Oil Chicken Soup

Morning People, it was hard getting up to get to work this morning…but yeah they really should have the public holiday on a Monday instead of a Tuesday. Anyways, this particular dish is very healthy and yummy – great for winter time but not too bad for summer time to bring down some heat. I was told that sesame oil are really good for your hair. Especially the dark sesame oil ones. Anyways, it’s great for when you’re sick as well. 🙂

Here it is…

Sesame Oil Chicken Soup


1 whole chicken
3 table spoon of sesame oil
1/2 cabbage
1 small piece of ginger


1. Cut up the whole chicken into large pieces, and heat up pan with some oil – chuck in ginger and chicken pieces stir fry until golden brown. Add in some sesame oil – you can grab a bottle from Any of the Asian Grocery store.

2. Add in chopped cabbages, add water in to cover the chicken pieces add salt for seasoning – you cook the chicken faster by cooking it in a slow cooker – if you don’t have one that’s not a problem, just cook it under simmer heat for around 40 minutes until the meat is tender.

There you have it simple, delicious and healthy sesame oil chicken soup
